Nuclear power combines danger with expense. Its efficiency levels have improved little since the 1950s and it is more expensive than it has ever been, while renewable energy technology has rapidly increased in efficiency, and dropped considerably in price. Plus nuclear power saddles future generations with an extremely radioactive waste product for which we have no long term storage solution.
