The Internal Market Bill may place a lot of extra burdens on small businesses. Covid has already driven many to the brink and the creation of a UK single market musn’t add to those problems. This government is very good at agreeing rules with big businesses, but these are rules that can cripple small businesses with unsuitable requests for information. We need Ministers to talk these things through, involve the devolved administrations and have outcomes that are easy for small businesses to understand.
